Quick Seals: A way to turn any bag into a zip lock container

Imagine a product that will allow you the convenience of a zip lock bag, but also allow you to keep the original bag that has much necessary information on it. There won’t be any more worries about the opened flour bag, or chips, or cereal, or anything that has an opening on it because Quick Seals can seal just about anything.

Quick Seals is a new product invented by Denise Begin, a former flight attendant. It is designed to help the consumer convert any packaged food item into a resealable storage container.

Quick Seals allows the consumer who is conscious about having an organized kitchen the opportunity to store items in a more recognizable manner. Bags of chips, cookies, crackers or just about any bagged food item won’t be falling over because of the heavy clips that normally seal opened bags of food. Quick Seals is easy to apply, with an adhesive backing and a zip lock top. Just apply the adhesive backing to any package and ZIP; your product is sealed until you open it up again.

At first when I read this item, I have to say I was quite skeptical. Having broken many ziploc bags in the past, I truly doubted that this was anything new. But, it was new. Being able to zip up a bag of those bothersome packages of salad mix made me realize that maybe this product had some credence to it. And, the bags came in different sizes; medium and large, so you didn’t have to worry about wasting any large bags to store a small item.

I did find a few things that might be a problem in the long run for this item. The zip lock closure tends to slip off the top of the bag when trying to stop the zipper. For someone who doesn’t pay close attention most of the time to what she is doing, this could be a problem. Also, it can only be used one time and living in a world now that is conscious of our environment, this item wouldn’t be a practical item for people who are trying to conserve and reuse. I, too, am an environmentally conscious citizen, so I’m not sure if this is something I would repeatedly buy. But, for a camping trip, road trip, plane trip or any type of traveling, this is a great solution to those that don’t want to pack bulky storage containers for their left over food items.

Quick Seals comes in 3 box sizes: The "Try Me" six pack that has 3 medium and 3 large sized bags and sells for $1.69, and the “Standard 20 “ pack that has 10 medium and 10 large size bags and sells for $3.99 and the Quick Seals 150 piece pack that has 75 medium and 75 large bags and sells for $19.95 plus shipping. These items are available in local stores in the Florida area, but are soon to be seen in the giant of all giant retailers, Wal-mart. For those of us who don’t live in Florida, Quick Seals can be ordered online.
